Do It All...The Life Of Our General Manager

Do It All

Have you ever wondered what it takes to be the general manager of a car dealership? It’s a very stressful job. General Manager is a short title for jack of all trades at a dealership. As the general manager you are human resources, sales, finance, technology, administration, wholesale, retail, service, and clean up. I think that covers it all!

Who is that man at Custom Car Care? Meet Brian Martin. He has been the general manager here for over 5 years. Obviously he enjoys his job or he wouldn’t have been here for so long.

What is it that Brian loves most about his job? “The competition. It’s a very competitive industry. I love it when we help people purchase a car. I truly believe we have some of the best prices you will find anywhere. Our motto of wholesale prices everyday is something we live and die by” says Brian.

Being the general manager doesn’t allow Brian for much free time. So what does he do when he does have any? Relax you might think…not a chance! He plays in a local oldies band called “Alley Kats”. They perform in a variety of places in and around Fort Wayne.

The Alley Kats don’t perform every weekend. For those weekends Brian races at Bearfield Speedway in Fort Wayne. Brian actually finished in the top ten this year! Brian has been involved with racing nearly all his life. He operates www.gokartbooks.com which was inspired by his father. The site offers books, written by his father, and other tips on racing go karts. It is definitely worth checking out! J

That’s our general manager.
